Changed some of the speed settings, still won’t print a retraction test right. The Z offset is fine in Cura. So some setting in OrcaSlicer is different. Now I’m not sure the first flow calibration was right. Where the numbers are supposed to be, looked awful, didn’t print all the numbers, or the -. Blobs on brim too. Well, that didn’t work. Changing Z offset now. And offset was probably fine, set the Z offset to 0.1 in OrcaSlicer. If I want it 0, then I need to change offset on printer to -2.20. But then Cura won’t work, so I’ll pass. ...

That might be why it isn’t doing much for the 3D printer smell. It’s kind of loud on the highest setting though. I should get a new one, same brand, but the filter might be better, and it’s not the same shape. And I’ll have two. Put one in bedroom maybe. Or put one by the AC, so it can hopefully suck dust that comes in through there up. I have a LEVOIT Core 400S, want a LEVOIT Vital 200S-P. Hmm, mine is for bigger spaces apparently. 250C nozzle, and 90C bed seems to work. If it isn’t sticking @ 90C bed, use G10, and Bed Cement, if just a G10 bed isn’t good enough. Or some other glue stuff. No fan for the first few layers or so. 1% might be fine, and is needed on my printer, or the motherboard fan doesn’t turn on, too lazy to rewire it. Z calibration print Still has some blobs. Maybe 245C works, going to bed though. Might just do a flow rate calibration in OrcaSlicer @ 250C instead.

My next ASA filament will be from COEX 3D. At least for anything other then black. TH3D black ASA works fine, but only has black. Might wait until I use all my ASA filament, including the black filament. Their recycled PLA, might be the way to go for PLA from now on. My order will be $100 or more. They got a declogger tool too, no need to cleaning filament. I’m not brand loyal, so I try other brands. Ataraxiaart is nice too, but their stuff doesn’t like moisture, even their PLA. Never tried the flexible PLA I bought from them. No idea what to print that would need that. ...

0.0 should apparently be 0.1mm away. Or you’ll need to change slicer settings. No wonder I can’t get the right Z offset. But the Z offset is still less then it was, -2.10 vs -1.86. Soon I’ll find out if it’s good enough. Printing a temp tower with OrcaSlicer. I changed the flow rate back to the default. If you make it touch the bed it’s -2.20. On my printer. Fan speed probably too much. And now I can’t get it off without waiting for it to cool down. Got some off. Going to print Z calibration next, to see if it prints right yet. The one made with Cura, since OrcaSlicer settings aren’t right, Cura was working before. ...

No bumps or blobs, but one spot isn’t perfect. There may or may not be Bed Cement on the build plate, I used a paper towel to try and get some of the excess Bed Cement up. Dumped too much out. Was easy to remove the bad prints, but they didn’t have the right offset. Waiting for print to finish. Printing this. Nope, not perfect, but getting better. Can’t increase much more, if this doesn’t work. As 0.02 might have been too close. ...
