Trying to print bridges, won’t work out too good if you don’t probably.
Looks like 399 was for some other filament, no idea what filament. I guess I thought it was the same for every filament, under 300 with this filament. But might need to do it again, because I cut some of the tube off, on accident I cut some, then decided to cut more off to make it even. The problem with calibrating the eSteps, if you’re an idiot like me, you might cut the tubing.
Oh and Z offset changed now too, just changed it to 0.04mm closer, like it was before. That might be good enough.
Damn not good enough. Changed to 0.04mm closer again. I don’t use Tune menu, it’s useless, as far as I can tell. Just cancel if you notice it not close enough, then reprint. Takes more time, but at least it works.
Might need to tram bed again. But with offset set to 0. Running Bed Visualizer now.
LOL, I reversed the bad side to the other side by tramming it again. Using the same Z offset I guessed, but trammed with 0. Well, bad side in Bed Visualizer. One corner has a very different Z value.
Will most likely leave Z offset as is, if it’s off, probably only by 2 or so. Though I did click the button a bunch to extrude 100mm, cause it wasn’t doing anything. Until I noticed it doing something. Hopefully it only ran once.
Don’t ask me what those white spots are. From the build plate maybe? Well, it’s close enough now. Or are the spots cause it’s too close? No idea. Going to print a temp tower, maybe the bridges will work now. No need for bridge test to test bridges, do a temp tower first, if the bridges on that suck, you got issues.
Probably need to do a retract tower again too.
At least I didn’t go the entire roll of filament without calibrating the eSteps. Like I did with the more expensive PETG filament I had. No worries, I’m sticking to the cheaper stuff. Should order more, but it’s a pre order, might as well wait.
Might find out, I don’t need bridge settings. Can’t tell with webcam, too far away. Thanks to putting it in the back, could have got a webcam more zoomed in. But it would need a tripod mount to use the mount I have. Maybe these bridge settings suck. Perhaps the fan @ 50% and no experimental bridge settings is the way to go.
All the bridges suck. Retraction tower next, with fan @ 50% the entire time. Don’t feel like printing the temp tower again, maybe I should increase temp to 250C instead of 230C. Oh wait, retraction tower has no bridges, better do temp tower again.
Bridges suck without experimental bridge settings too.
Gave up on Cura, seeing if OrcaSlicer can print a temp tower. I don’t give a shit what slicer I use, as long as it can print a tower. Bed temp is 85C now, so I’ll see if it still sticks.
Hmm Cura must be broken. Cause it’s too close with OrcaSlicer. Changing it to what it was with old eSteps. Forgot what it was, so -0.10mm farther away. The center is 0 now, but bed looks worse. More tilted. Well, zero according to Bed Visualizer.
Since OrcaSlicer heats both up at the same time, nozzle and bed, I have to wait 10 minutes or so. I preheat it, then get junk off nozzle. Line printed this time, but I also changed the gcode for it to match Cura, so 0.80mm.
Not as close, but it isn’t printing perfectly. But might be the flow ratio, not the offset.
Well, I’ll make a new post sometime after I wake up, going to bed. Might print a Z offset calibration next, after I wake up. Then the flow calibration, then maybe another Z offset calibration, to see if it looks better afterwards.
