Look at this. I may have bought the Moose Lite. Didn’t research much before buying, might be able to cancel it.
But I think it’s probably fine for $300 or so. Just use it with a tripod, like I use my camera for making videos, to make 3D models with. I don’t need super results, just scanning a cereal box, I’ll use foot spray crap on it.
Can’t be as bad as Craptility, supposedly it’s basically the same as a different brand, that wants over $600 for the one I’d want.
Also, using a tripod is way easier. Hopefully any turntable can be used, and hopefully mine is big enough. And hopefully my tripod will work, it’s a regular tripod. So unless it uses some fancy tripod socket or connector, whatever, it should be fine.
And it’s mostly a knowledge issue, I knew that 3D scanning can be a pain with the cheap ones, so I’m prepared, and don’t care about their bad review.
You need 32 GB of RAM? Fuck, my Mac mini will be useless… No Linux software either, thanks 3D China anti Linux people.
Nice, they use a bigger turn table from Costco, so I should be fine. No need to buy their extra shit. Going to lookup requirements. But it does open on Mac mini.
Well, I fucking hate, no Linux software, it’s BS. I’m not paying for a higher RAM Mac. And I’m not using Windows. Does it work in Wine? If it needs a driver, the answer is no.
Maybe somebody should reverse engineer their software, and make open source software. Oh well, might be useless for me, since I can’t afford a new Mac. The iOS app still needs a computer. Using a virtual machine, is a lame solution. I’d rather spend my time sleeping.
Anybody want to solder more RAM into my Mac mini? The RAM is special, so good luck.
If it can do photogeomentry, why not JMStudio crap? The Mac mini isn’t doing anything. Not much running on it. I think I dislike Apple more though, then no Linux software. Tim Cook kissed Trump’s ass. And they charge too much. Thanks to tariffs, they can permanently increase prices, and not lower them.
