How much will the cheaper ones be under the Trump regime, with the tariffs? Probably not getting a Nintendo Switch 2, as the price will probably be more.
Won’t buy one this month most likely. Got to see how much food is. So maybe in that case, never. I may get murdered in cold blood before the end of the year anyways.
Want to make a proper spool holder for my cereal boxes. Saw one that would almost work. I could scan it from a video of it, but that might not have the measurements right. Will a cheap 3D scanner measure it right? Cause I’m lazy, guess I’ll have to try and measure it. Still a 3D scanner might be less work. DOn’t need the lid scanned.
I’ll probably use Shapr3D, since it’s easy. It will be very basic, just for the spool, nothing else, you will still be able to put the anti humidity things in it, just won’t be a spot. Don’t feel like modifying somebody else’s model to work. I’ll just look at what they did for reference, and make my own.
It won’t be on any of the 3D sites, maybe on here. And the step file will be included, so you can modify it easier. At least with Shapr3D.
BQ Ciclop might be the one, open source and cheap. And I’m lazy, so would purchase pre assembled, super slow scanning, but I’m cheap.
How cheap is it? The CR-Scan Ferret 3D Scanner is currently $250 from the Craptility site.
The BQ isn’t handheld? Might not work great then. Need a bigger turntable for the cereal box. Can’t print that big. Would have to print in parts.
Doesn’t support iOS, but does macOS, the Craptility one. Hmm, let me check how much money I have. Or maybe buy it used on eBay.
Actually, I think I’ll wait, and get the Revopoint POP 3. It’s probably better. If there’s Linux software, then I’d rather have it. The Craptility says better scanning on a PC, I refuse to use Windows. 15% coupon on Amazon, but Amazon sucks ass, and I don’t want to spend most of my money.
Damn, for that one I need their spray, for the transparent cereal box. Works on iOS, so still better then Craptility. The Mac mini can continue collecting dust. I’ll never buy another Apple product again. Or maybe I will, who knows. Not with tariffs.
Haha, you need more then 8 GB of RAM for the Revopoint with macOS, so no good for me. Thanks Apple, with their price gauging. Too lazy to look for a way to do it in Linux, so I’ll just use my shitty iPhone. Maybe next month I’ll buy it, maybe over $600 is the new price.
