Don’t use an offset of -02.400, if you want less then -0.2.080. Them zeros are messing me up. Marlin has more zeros then Unified Firmware 2. No wonder that was too close, never printed that close. I don’t think anyways. The printer failed to save the offset last night again, so it wasn’t set to -02.040. Not sure what Marlin’s deal is, but it refuses to save the value.

I found a bug report, apparently UBL doesn’t move Z to compensate for everybody.

Might go back to Unified Firmware 2.

Compiled Marlin with my latest config, should do all 16 points now. Also the tramming wizard is on it now. -02.040 was too close, set it to -01.960 after flashing the firmware again. Did all 16 points.

AutoBim is easier, it moves for you. You just adjust and once it good, it goes to the next one. With the tramming wizard, you have to manually go click the point, then click measure, and so on. It made it worse. Perhaps Z offset is bad. Also, I started on the wrong corner. Using AutoBim now, but changed accuracy, to 0.03, so it doesn’t take as long.

According to Z offset wizard, and feeler gauge, it’s -02.100. But I’m pretty sure that was too close, possibly because it isn’t compensating.

Changed my Gcode again, maybe fading isn’t actually on or something. Too close as in blobs, and some almost transparent possibly. Not trammed as good, since I changed the accuracy.

I refuse to get offset at printing temps, I might burn myself. And the filament will get burnt.

Going to initialize the EEPROM or whatever, and reset the offset. Maybe I need to do that. There might be a glitch from switching firmware.

Well, it shouldn’t be too close now. -02.100 was, but changed it to -02.000. The bed is titled or warped though. The new bed mesh is different. Changed accuracy back to 0.01 too, maybe I shouldn’t use the experimental feature, that makes Z = the first corner. Might be a little too far. Well, maybe not for 0.2mm.

If the Tune menu is working right now, then I might have found the right offset. It was a little too far from the bed. Gaps is better then it being transparent, pain in the ass to get it off if it’s too close. So I’d recommend starting farther then closer.

Turning printer off and back on, and the offset was still there. But changing in the Tune menu might result in that part working. Manually changing it, and storing the settings might not always work.

Too many blobs, in the middle of print, the part that matters. Was taking a dump, so couldn’t watch it.

What good is using a feeler gauge for getting the offset? According to Tune menu, it should be -01.890 or something, instead of -02.075. Actually, it’s possible a setting is making a massive delay in changing the setting. Making a new bed mesh, to get an idea if it’s good or not. Then check it.

Looks like it’s fine. But I should run AutoBim, but I want to go to bed sooner tonight. Try printing the calibration again, if it works, no need for AutoBim.

Some gaps on one side, I’ll probably run AutoBim, instead of changing offset. Not done yet, and hasn’t printed over there yet. But it fixed it last time. And it is -1.89. Ran m851 to find out. Not sure it’s right, AutoBim didn’t do great. I’ll see if it can print, then probably go to bed.

Probably need to disable the experimental feature in AutoBim. Printing fine so far. At least the spot I checked. Just remembered, it’s the other side that had issues. Should have checked offset, too close, at least on that side. Could be causing under extrusion, making gaps too. Disabled that, canceled the print, too many gaps on the left side. Long wait for bed to cool down to 65C.

I’d recommend making a bed mesh with an offset of 0, and running AutoBim with an offset of 0, then get the offset. Or it’ll take you forever like me.

Well, looks like it’s -02.125 or something. After AutoBim. The var still sucks in Bed Visualizer. So kind of doubt it’ll print good. Last print, then give up for now and go to sleep.

Looking good so far.

Not sure those little blob things all in mostly the same spot, can be gotten rid of with Z offset. The brim is like perfect, so changed it back to what I think it was.

Maybe the wipe setting should be disabled.
