How well the Z calibration printed, after messing with Z rods. Not perfect, but pretty good for a not completely level bed, and UBL and fading.
Now I get to go to bed before the AM, no more printing till tomorrow.
There is one gap in a corner, not sure it’s worth fixing though. Might get blobs. Probably only needs to change to -2.18 from -2.16 to fix it though. Found some more gaps. There’s also indents. Maybe print it one more time @ -2.18. Still should be able to go to bed before the AM.
Came off nice and easy under 50C.
The blobs on edge, I don’t care about, just don’t want a bunch in the middle.
Damn it, got to charge headphones. I think moisture messes up the ear pads on em. Like sweat.
I think two air purifier is way more efficient. Maybe this one works for smells better. I smell sweat or something though on myself. Also got some salsa or something on my shirt. So maybe a mix.
Don’t think extruder is making a bunch of noise anymore either.
I’ll try -2.17 tomorrow, and see if there’s still those annoying gaps. If there is -2.18 it is. I’ll enjoy my blobs. There might be some other setting to decrease em.
Update
How is -2.17 worse then -2.16? All I did was clean the build plate with alcohol. Now I have to check the Z offset again.
Who knew cleaning the bed would make such a difference for the leveling. It’s probably -2.18 or -2.20 now. So maybe the leveling didn’t work very well before, because I didn’t clean it with alcohol. Don’t want to change it too much, so trying the old value of -2.18 first. Hmm, that’s only a 0.01 difference though. Might not be good enough.
Not close enough everywhere, instead of trying -2.19, trying -2.20.
But I think you should clean the bed with alcohol after every print.
And it’s probably not right, because the damn nozzle might have been leaking while leveling. Just noticed it wasn’t done leaking after 10 minutes. So trying -2.17 again.
Not seeing many blobs yet, but extruder is making noise. Not sure it’s normal or not. Not very loud, have to take headphones off.
Looks pretty good so far. Make sure the nozzle isn’t leaking before tilting the mesh. Start the print once it’s done leaking. Or do it with a cold nozzle, and let it heat up once it’s done tilting.
Looks like the “blob” is all in the same spot. Might be a setting causing that. It’s almost done. More blobs at the end.
Will have to check Z offset again, and see the farthest it can be. Probably -2.14 or -2.12.
Damn leaking nozzle messed me up.
Hard to remove, so too close.
-2.10 will try, after I make a new bed mesh. Already made a new one @ -2.12. Seemed a little too close. I’ll wait at least 15 minutes before printing this time.
Not close enough, -2.12 might be though.
Looks like blobs @ -2.12. So if -2.11 isn’t it, you get some gaps, or blobs.
