Z calibration printed with Cura

I doubt the Z offset is too close.

Somebody said to lower acceleration in OrcaSlicer by 60-80%, so I lowered it by 60%. Maybe it can print now. i don’t want to fine tune the Z offset for Cura, want OrcaSlicer to work. Waiting ten minutes before starting the print.

Maybe I can print a temp tower in OrcaSlicer now too. First Z calibration, to see if bumps are gone, or about the same as Cura.

The AppImage of OrcaSlicer likes to crash. Usually when clicking a tab in the printer settings, or the filament settings.

Might have ordered another air purifier, might help with dust more having two, and won’t need either of them on the highest setting hopefully.

Z calibration OrcaSlicer

Just enabled wipe on loops. Maybe that’ll help, going to print a temp calibration, will take two hours or so. I print nice and slow.

Maybe don’t set Z hop to 5mm, makes it slower. Going to try the default 0.4 again. Now it won’t hit the print if you do that. But look at how much it moves up. Cura might be set to 5mm, so changed OrcaSlicer to the same. But seems too much.

Canceled the temp tower, looked horrible. Changed the Z offset again, maybe +0.04 will be better. I’ll just use the Z calibration print until most blobs are gone. That needs to be really good, or I won’t be able to print anything with more layers.

Maybe I can change the Z offset while printing now with better results.

Z offset was probably fine, brim messed up @ +0.04.

Trying a temp tower again, with the max fan set to 1%, and overhang fan speed 1% as well.

Good news, looks like it’s printing way better now. Fucking fan.

Need to change something for bridging, or overhangs. Maybe 10% is better. Using supports is better. Going to print the flow rate again. That might fix the blobs. There’s stringing on that temp tower. So bad retraction settings possibly, lowered the retraction speed to 30, just increased to 35. Maybe I should have left at 45. Changed back to 45, in case the speed matters for stringing.

Does flow rate change if Z offset changes? Might be inaccurate with a bad Z offset. Maybe the numbers will print right now.
